Seeing same behavior on two machines.
One is a complete new reinstall to 12.04 (was 11.04 before) using PS/2 mouse
(through a PS/2 KVM)
The other system is an upgrade from 11.10, and is using a USB mouse.
Mouse simply freezes for 1-3 seconds once in a while (every 10-15 minutes on
first machine, and on longer more random intervals on second machine).
Before Ubuntu 12.04 x64 both machines worked flawlessly with older versions of
Ubuntu (also x64).

The one with the USB mouse reports in dmesg:
[278872.212364] usb 2-1.4: reset low-speed USB device number 3 using ehci_hcd
after every freeze (but to reiterate - the mouse worked perfectly in 11.10
before the upgrade and the system never froze).
