Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20
The machine is a Dell D610 laptop, with an ATI Mobility X300 screen card (M300 chip set), Dell 1370 TrueMobile WLAN (Broadcom chip set). On Feisty the first suspend and awakening works find, but when I attempt to suspend the second time the machine works for a while, and then the screen darkens, and eventually the password dialog normally presented at wake up, is shown. However, the keyboard is frozen, so pressing the power button for five minutes is the only way out. When hibernating I may be able to to several awakenings and hibernates, but eventually I run into the same problem. I'm always successful in suspending or hibernating, the first time I try. Suspend/resume worked flawlessly for nearly a year with Dapper on this machine. On Breezy I only had hibernate. The system was upgraded from Breezy to Dapper, but the Feisty is a fresh reinstall. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Second suspend hangs with password dialog and frozen keyboard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120670 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
