Same here on Thinkpad L420. OnScreenDisplay is shown and the slider/mute in it reacts nicely, but it does obviously not change any actual channel volume. I checked all available channels in xfce4-mixer, alsamixer and pavucontrol.
Commands like 'amixer set Master 5%-' I tried to bind to the vol+/- and mute keys with xfce4-keyboard-settings get not called. Are the keys exclusively taken by the program that controls the OSD? This is also Xubuntu 12.04 with pulseaudio (fresh install). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990562 Title: Laptop FN Sound Keys don't update mixer volume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-volumed/+bug/990562/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
