I haven't found a bug report for this issue involving a 32-bit 12.04 installation, but otherwise I have the same problem as the rest of the people here: complete/hard freeze with no mouse movement, tty console, or ability to SSH into machine.
System configuration: Intel Ivy Bridge i5 3570k 3.4 Ghz Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H motherboard 4GB GSkill RAM Using onboard Intel HD4000 graphics. Problem persists with regular Unity and Unity 2D desktop. Problem does NOT occurr when using old Nvidia 8400GS discrete graphics card. Freeze can be reproduced with Firefox browser spending a couple minutes spinning ships here: http://www.eveonline.com/universe/spaceships/ Finding this bug saved me from RMA-ing brand new hardware. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993187 Title: ubuntu 12.04 64bit completely freezes frequently To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/993187/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
