Also an issue for me as I recently did a clean install of 12.04. I have several OpenVPN servers, and they worked perfectly fine under 11.04 and 11.10 but as soon I installed 12.04, I could no longer access the internet through them....I could connect fine, and ping individual IPs, which made me narrow it down to a DNS issue. Appearently, there were major changes to DNS stuff in 12.04 so I am not surprised it is currently broken....
More information about the changes can be found linked below, but basically, my temporary fix is to disable a new addon in 12.04 called "dnsmasq": http://www.stgraber.org/2012/02/24/dns-in-ubuntu-12-04/ Linux damir-ubuntu 3.2.0-24-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 25 08:43:22 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/994575 Title: dnsmasq does not update nameserver info after network change To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/994575/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
