*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 982609 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/982609
One of my attempts at a work around was to replace the smb.conf file from another machine running precise, and modify the machine specific details, such as the 'interfaces' line, and the name of service. this was mentioned in one of the older bug reports. I do not understand why this bug has occurred again. I have precise running on a machine I installed about ten days ago working fine. On the face of it this bug seems similar to others mentioned, but this bug was said to be resolved on the 15th of May 2012 (about a week back)? Before I installed samba4 I ran 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get upgrade' to make sure all was the most current state. I do not understand. It looks possibly new to me? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/998003 Title: package samba4 4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-4ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 126 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba4/+bug/998003/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
