I'm seeing the same behaviour of the Super key over/under the locked screen as Robert. (#15) But if I hold Super and press one of the number keys to start a program from the launcher, it will not open, not even in the background. I've observed this with radeon and i915 on two computers. Killing gnome-screensaver and restarting it using a terminal doesn't resolve the issue.
