1. hal from backports changed the way nautilus disconnect external mass-storage devices. In fact, it uses "umount" instead of "eject" in nautilus right-click menu.
This is the main reason why now it works! So, "eject" packet is the problem. You can test it, just open a terminal and try to disconnect an external usb hd with eject command (eject /media/etc...), even if you have hal from backports installed. It gives you an error. ** Summary changed: - nautilus, media containing multiple partitions cannot be unmounted (USB connected) + nautilus, media containing multiple partitions cannot be unmounted(with eject) (USB connected) ** Changed in: eject (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: hal => eject -- nautilus, media containing multiple partitions cannot be unmounted(with eject) (USB connected) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108643 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
