I have the same problem. My system is an intel i7 on motherboard Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3. The keyboard and mouse are both Logitech wireless. It freezes on the second language choice page with the cd ubuntu-12.04-alternate-amd64+mac. Thanks
