5 minutes ago, I installed the 2012-05-06 kernel:

linux-headers-3.4.0-999_3.4.0-999.201205060405_all.deb
linux-headers-3.4.0-999-generic_3.4.0-999.201205060405_amd64.deb
linux-image-3.4.0-999-generic_3.4.0-999.201205060405_amd64.deb

`uname -a` ===> Linux asrock 3.4.0-999-generic #201205060405 SMP Sun May
6 08:06:18 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The symptom changed. Now, when I resume from suspend state, the screen
displays nothing (remains black) and the keyboard and mouse are unable
to revive the desktop.

Admittedly, I had high hopes when I saw the following in /pub/scm /
linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git / summary:
30 hours ago Lin Ming ACPI: Fix D3hot v D3cold confusion

Feel free to ask me to test again.
