"Step to Reproduce
1)Start a new impress.
2)Draw a drawing(e.g. rectangle)in slide, and add Random Effects in custom
animation pane.
3)Click effect options button in custom animation pane, in effect tab select
any sound, and click OK.
4)Press F5 to show the slide.
No sounds is heard."

Note: APERT and LASER are just for example. You can use any built-in
sound effect.
