Sadly, I tried both rc3 and rc4 with and without Wifi, and my Hp NC6400 still freezes. I guess there is some non-compliant electrical behaviour in it.
I also guess that the kernel has some smart behaviour when on battery, and that this behaviour is too smart for my laptop. How can one disable it without disabling all the ACPI subsystem? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/898852 Title: Kernel freeze when on battery - Compaq nc6400 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/898852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
