I have this problem on Kubuntu 7.04 Linux version 2.6.20-15-generic ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 4.1.2 (Ubuntu 4.1.2-0ubuntu4)) #2 SMP Sun Apr 15 07:36:31 UTC 2007 (Ubuntu 2.6.20-15.27-generic)
I read about "Eeek! page_mapcount(page) went negative! (-1)". Possible bug is: http://marc.info/?l=linux-kernel&m=117809113114083&w=2 but greg k-h said that that probably shouldn't cause the problem anyway. I attach my log in case it can be of any use to anyone. Interesting to note that both me and the original reporter have tainted kernels (same version of nVidia driver, different arch). Crash mostly happens when compiling large software projects, or running Qemu with lots of disk reads and writes. Boot-time fsck reports errors that get corrected. ** Attachment added: "Relevant dmesg output of the OOPs and page_mapcount() message" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/8074956/kernelcrash.log -- kernel crash [kernel BUG at mm/rmap.c:588!] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111131 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
