Hi Brian Thanks for your e-mail. Unfortunately, since downloading the Ubuntu 7.04(Feisty Fawn) recently to upgrade from 6.10 (Edgy Eft), I have been unable to use Ubuntu at all. I think something must have occurred in the Grub settings as although it appears in the list it will not open. I am left with only Open Suse 10.2 as an operating system which is a pity as I quite liked Ubuntu and the philosophy behind it. You can probably tell that I'm not very computer literate as I've not been able to sort out the OS Grub selection problem: error message - "unable to mount partition".
To be on the safe side I think I'll leave it at that for the time being. I'll consider reinstalling Ubuntu at some future date. In the meantime, thanks again for your attention and I'm sorry I can't report further on the original problem.
