I'm using Linux Mint based on Ubuntu Festy 7.04 on Notebook HP zv5332 (series
zv 5200). I have 2 external hd.
Since 1 month ago i used Ubuntu Edgy.
The problem is always the same: after a random time usb ports stop working.

I observed usb stop working specially when i copy a lot of files from a
usb-hd to the other. Hard work may be a possible cause of this problem.

My hd, and some other perpherals, are connected to an hub.
I've tryed to change the hub with one similar but with alimentation. I thought
usb port stop because energy request was to high, but problem persist.

This problem, HIMO, is very important. My hd risked to be seriously damaged. I
rescued it running a small utility on the "windows side" of my notebook.
I hobe can be fixed as soon as possible.

My log files can help?
where find them?

tank you
