Public bug reported:

When inserting a DVD into my system, it does not mount the /dev/dvd or
/dev/sr0 deveices. Therfore no DVD's. Using lshw I get the following.
Despite this it does not look like the DVD is mounting as I do not get
a choice of action in nautilus nor do I have the ability to open any of
these in VLC.
