I'm coming back here and I'm hoping to reactive this bugreport since this problem still exists. It seemed to have vanished some time ago but reappeared in 11.10 Oneiric (I forgot to mention this here). Now, I've upgraded to 12.04 Precise and the bug still exists. I would be very pleased if this problem could be addressed.
