I also would like a newer version of Monotone in Ubuntu, for the same reason (Pidgin). Monotone is up to 0.35 right now, and their source package includes a "debian" directory with Debian package information. I followed the instructions on dpkg-buildpackage and pbuilder at https://help.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/packagingguide/C/basic-scratch.html to create a source and amd64 binary package from the package information included within the source distrribution; I am not sure if the resulting packages are perfect, but it works for me. You can download the (unsigned) packages I built at http://xyzzy.freeshell.org/monotone/. Install with (if you are on amd64):
sudo apt-get build-dep monotone sudo dpkg -i monotone_0.35-0.1_amd64.deb Hope this helps someone. I agree that it would be nice if a Monotone 0.35 package was in universe. -- monotone should be updated to latest version https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106612 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
