Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu 12.04 up to date as of 28/04/2012. Sometimes after suspending my computer (Dell Vostro V131), when I wake it up and successfully enter my password, I get back to my desktop with a completely unresponsive trackpad. The mouse pointer won't move at all, however the left and right click buttons seem to work.
The only solution I found so far was to log off using Ctrl+Alt+Suppr and using the keyboard to select "Log off", and then log in again. Eventually, the touchpad becomes functional again. This is quite annoying since any suspended work is lost due to the back to back log- off and log-in operation. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990381 Title: touchpad unresponsive after suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/990381/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
