  I just purchased a brand new Hitachi Turbo Desk Pro 3TB external USB3
  drive and it refuses to mount on my desktop, which has an Asus M4A88TD/V
  EVO/USB3 motherboard.
  
  Ubuntu Precise 12.04 RC and the motherboard are both updated.
  
  The drive mounts fine on an Acer netbook I have.
