Hi, Thanks for your help. This did not fix the issue. But it certainly changed things !
I no longer have the red bar saying "Failed to execute child process "exo-open" (Permission denied)", instead I have an alert saying : """ Failed to launch preferred application for category 'WebBrowser'. Failed to execute child process '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/xfce4/exo-1/exo-helper-1' (Permission denied). """ So I figured I only needed to add "usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/xfce4/exo-1 /exo-helper-1 ixr," to /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.bin.evince But that didn't work as expected, I don't have the alert anymore but it segfaults right after that. (I can include the additional information for that if you want.) But I am not sure adding that second line to apparmor's configuration was the right thing to do in the first place. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/987578 Title: Evince is not allowed to open links from a pdf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/987578/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
