I tried the 3.4 kernel without success because this bug is not related to the kernel: I'm using an Imac with an Apple keyboard. If I push the F1 button, it launches the less monitor light function...To obtain a true F1 action, I have to press fn touch before....So to open a new tty virtual terminal, I have to do on my Apple keyboard:
fn+ctrl+alt+F1 and it woks now. Sorry to disturb you for this, I'm learning every day. You could close this bug.
