I can confirm this bug. It's not because of the CD. What happened to me:
I have an old toshiba laptop with no network cards. Everhthing runs well until 
the installation and configuration of anthy: It freezed here. I've rechecked 
after 8 hours and it was still here. The message in the log was "Setting up 
anthy" and "Updating anthy", which is the possible cause of the problem: it 
tries to update from the Internet when no internet connection is available. 
I've fixed this by killing all the anthy processes from another console. It's a 
bug because of 2 different reasons:
1. it tries to connect to the Internet when no connection os available (when I 
was asked about it, I said that there is no networking at this time)
2. this attempt doesn't time out. Trying to update anthy for 8 hours is not 
normal.
I hope you can fix this as it is very annoying and most users would be clueless 
(I was too, only when I reinstalled it and saw that it freezes at anthy I 
figured out why)
