Precise B2 still failing to install on this IBM Thinkpad, Lubuntu bug 978489, Xubuntu bug 984481, Ubuntu bug 985871 at somewhere near the same place with some differences in the syslog.
Being rather frustrated (!) installed Linux-Mint-LXDE just EXACTLY like I've been trying precise. Linux-Mint-LXDE flew right through install no hitches whatever! My hardware's running fine! Being based on "stable" ubuntu the Linux-Mint-LXDE kernel is 3.0.0-12-generic. This thinkpad does have pae flag not needed for this install. Anyone have anything to try for Lubuntu precise B2? I don't know python.
