Hi Brendan and Daniel, Can you confirm if you see this same issue with Precise on this system (ie. 3.2.0-23.36 kernel)? It looks similar to the issue being seen on bug 972723. The bug reporters there have documented a workaround and analysis in comments #10 and #11 in bug 972723. They have also forwarded the issue upstream.
