ok sorry. it was my fault I installed Gnome3 and it has deactivated "nautilus handles the desktop". So the effect was, that there were no icons on the desktop and no menu when i have right clicked.
A side-effect was that when the mouse pointer is over the "no mans land" (desktop without nautilus-handling), the dash did not open. When hovering a nautilus window or another one, all is ok. I fixed it with the help of gnome tweak tool. Hope this will help other people with the same problem, and I think there should be a fix for this, because maybe other users want to try out gnome3 and came back to unity ^^. And they will then be faced with the same problem. Otherwise, close the bug and sorry for disturbance :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973513 Title: dash does not appear when pressing SUPER and no window is open To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/973513/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
