Hi Sebastien, the "grep remove /var/log/dpkg.log"
only lists: 2012-04-13 15:02:29 startup packages remove 2012-04-13 15:02:30 remove system-config-date 1.9.60-0ubuntu2 <none> which is the package I just installed and deinstalled to try out if it would reinstall the datetime indicator. Yes, several of the updates in the update-manager within the last week were partial. But doing the updates twice always fixed all problems in those cases. If I run a sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade right now, it shows: 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. I reinstalled 'gnome-control-center' which gave me back the system settings by the way. As far as I can see right now, the only thing missing is the datetime indicator which I still haven't found in the 'software center'. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980697 Title: system settings removed?
