Public bug reported:

On Gutsy tribe 1, enabling restricted drivers fails for ATI fglrx driver.
Package is downloaded but the module never gets loaded. After 1 attempted, the
driver shows up as not in use but cannot be enabled, clicking enable results in
just a grayed out restricted drivers app that can only be closed and forgotten
about.
Steps to reproduce: on ATI chipset that requires fglrx driver for 2/3D
acceleration, system>administration>restricted drivers manager>enable ATi
driver> watch fail.

Hardware: HP dv5139us laptop
ATi x200m graphic chipset
Ubuntu 7.10 tribe 1

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
