I downloaded "Kubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) Tribe-1" which is based on the 2.6.22-6.13 (2.6.22-rc3-based) kernel (see http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/tribe1), and I can confirm the bug is solved in this release.
The live CD boots without the need for extra kernel parameters, and after booting: 1) it shows (almost) 4GB RAM, which is great 2) it does show /dev/sda, which is fantastic So if things don't get bugfixed in 7.04, 7.10 is going to be the solution. -- SATA drive not seen by kubuntu x86-64 on Asus M2A-VM / AMD 690G mobo https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112906 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
