@Adam: I definitely had to update the Glance database and update the image_properties table. My memory is a little fuzzy on the exact details, but I believe that the nova.s3_images table did not have the correct UUID for ramdisks and kernels as well. I only noticed this much later however and I am unsure if it is related.
