I bought a Toshiba A205-S4577 and I've been trying to get the sound working for the past couple of days.
I went to Chris Cheney's link http://hg.alsa-project.org/alsa-kernel/rev/dd701601157b and applied the patch_realtek.c to ALSA 1.0.14, compiled it for hda- intel and installed it. If I specify 3stack for the model as a module parameter, PCM doesn't show up in the mixer, so model=auto seems to work best, but alas I still don't have sound even with this new patch supporting 268. Would there be any additional technical differences between the Toshiba's configuration that would still prevent sound from working? This is very frustrating since everything else on this laptop is working flawlessly in Ubuntu. -- No audio INTEL HD audio - Realtek ALC268 codec - Toshiba A205-S4577 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116326 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
