Same problem here, and sometimes I go for a couple of weeks with no disconnects and then out of the blue they start occurring every 1-2 minutes. I'm running Linux Mint 11 on an IBM ThinkPad R40, using Wicd instead of Network Manager, and have to keep Wicd open to click on the connect button when necessary, which can be quite often.
