Public bug reported: After the upgrade, this dir is empty when it should be a symlink to java-6-openjdk-amd64. This causes jvisualvm to fail to start as it can't find a jdkhome.
The problem can be fixed by removing the directory: sudo rm -R /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk Then reinstalling the offending package: apt-get install --reinstall default-jre-headless ** Affects: java-common (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/975469 Title: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk is an empty dir after upgrade to precise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/java-common/+bug/975469/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
