This has now been uploaded to Debian unstable, so we could resolve this
with a sync.  I'm turning this into a feature freeze exception bug and
subscribing the release team for confirmation.

golang has no reverse-build-dependencies in the archive, so I think this
is safe and we might as well be on the version they're recommending as a
stable platform with interface commitments
(http://golang.org/doc/go1compat.html).
