There are tons of bugs fixed upstream[1], but there are also some nasty new bugs introduced and I currently recommend to rather try to backport such fixes until Debian bug #644788 ("screen 4.1.0 can’t attach to a running/detached screen 4.0.3 session") is fixed upstream (or workarounded in Debian's screen package which is the less favourable alternative) if you care about users who run a dist-upgrade inside a screen. See [2] for the discussion about this on the upstream mailing list which is distributed over several months in the mailing list archive. > it still reproduces in oneiric as there is still "Screen version > 4.00.03jw4 (FAU) 2-May-06" in the repo And I'd expect it will so in Precise (but also expect it to be fixed in Precise+1). > and this bug is fixed in 4.1.0 ... which hasn't even had a beta release yet for some reasons[3].
