Kubuntu 7.04, kernel 2.6.20-16-generic. Attempting to bring up a connection with a Gigabyte GN-WP01GS PCI card (using KDE network manager, I put in the WEP key then clicked "OK") hung the machine. The mouse pointer still moved, but there was no response to mouse actions or keyboard. So I hit the power button after waiting a while to see if anything would happen "in good time". Ho hum. Machine is dual Athlon XP 1.6GHz on Tyan Tiger MPX S2466 mainboard (AMD 760MPX chipset).
