I'm glad someone still cares about this bug. Since I don't have another keyboard, I didn't try another keyboard. The laptop-keyboard still works out-of-the-box, the usb keyboard still has issues.
The problems with the usb-keyboard appear to be associated with the usage of graphic effects. * No problems while using a virtual terminal (CTRL+ALT+F1) or kde without graphics effects * A few problems with gnome 3 * Some problems with kde4 and unity2d * Most problems with unity 3d Until a week ago or so, unity 2d was quite usable. At the moment, the issues with my keyboard are really bad in unity 2d. It's absolutely possible that I'm stumbling into a hardware bug. On the other handside, it confuses me why a hardware bug of the keyboard should have something to do with the usage of graphic effects. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/873053 Title: unity: issues with usb keyboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/873053/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
