Yes, the problem still persists, unfortunately. I cannot install Ubuntu
Linux on my computer and I guess that many others will experience the
same unpleasant experience.

- The live CD of Dapper Drake (daily of today and all versions I have
- installed so far) does not run on one of my system. The boot menu
- appears, however, shortly after choosing "Start Ubuntu", I receive the

- therefore not use the live CD... the same problem, BTW, occurs with the
