It is no longer happening in Ubuntu 12.04 beta 24-mar-2012 Precise Pangolin. Actually, it never occurred in any beta version of 12.04.
To my knowledge, it was never resolved in Ubuntu 11.04. If I stretch my memory, I seem to recall that Ubuntu 11.10 also had this problem. I am very surprised you cannot reproduce this issue. As indicated in comments # 4 and # 5, this always happens on those hardware platforms. ** Changed in: indicator-sound Status: Incomplete => New ** Changed in: indicator-sound (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/763025 Title: Sound output volume muted by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-sound/+bug/763025/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
