Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response. I upgraded my PC motherboard to an AMD64 x 2
unit, and installed the 64-bit Ubuntu. Before I upgraded my system, the
suggested fix did allow me to minimize programs and select them, again.
However, the minimized programs did not appear as buttons on the lower
panel. When I installed the 64-bit operating system, minimized programs
appeared as buttons on the lower panel.

Best Regards,

John

Subject: [Bug 117098] Minimizing applications doens't appear to work.

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I saw a previously reported bug, similar to what I experienced. I will
implement the recommended fix and try it. I'll update my posting after
I try the recommended fix.

Regards,

John
