There really needs to be a desktop-wide key-binding manager of some kind that serves all applications. I love the Emacs idea of 'keymaps' and 'keymap prefix' keys. I'd like to reserve combinations involving the "windows logo" key for the window manager, and have it never use a key not involving that one.
