On an Asus P8H67-V Motherboard running Gentoo 3.0.6-gentoo I see what
appears to be the same symptoms.

Mar 28 12:42:42 [kernel] scsi 6:0:0:0: Direct-Access ATA WDC
WD600AB-00CB 04.0 PQ: 0 ANSI: 5
Mar 28 12:42:42 [kernel] sd 6:0:0:0: [sda] 117231408 512-byte logical blocks:
(60.0 GB/55.8 GiB)
Mar 28 12:42:42 [kernel] sd 6:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off
Mar 28 12:42:42 [kernel] sd 6:0:0:0: [sda] Write cache: enabled, read cache:
enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA

The hang is always after the above messages and before these messages:

Mar 28 12:42:42 [kernel] sda: sda1 sda2 sda3 sda4
Mar 28 12:42:42 [kernel] sd 6:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk

Keyboard is not USB, and pressing keys does not help. The problem is
intermittent. I have not been able to 100% prove it yet,
but I suspect a power cycle is required then the next boot is OK, a reset will
not clear the problem.
