I found out that in the event that the touchpad is not working, dmesg shows this lines:
[ 3.624972] Synaptics Touchpad, model: 1, fw: 8.0, id: 0x1e2b1, caps: 0xd00123/0x840300/0x120c00 [ 3.666491] input: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad as /devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input7 whilst it shows the device path as /devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input12 whilst the touchpad is working correctly after boot. Is there any way to maybe enforce the device enumeration? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/958878 Title: Touchpad on Samsung NP-900X3A after system-startup only randomly works.
