Hi - unfortunately since I got that error, my system has deteriorated to the point that it won't boot up. I'm in the process now of using an alternate installation CD for 12.04 beta to backup my /home directory files & then I will be installing from scratch. I think the problem started really when I upgraded to 11.10. I'll let you know if the same thing happens with a fresh installation.
