Public bug reported:

On my Lenovo T400s with Ubuntu 12.04 (beta1 + latest updates), the hotkey to
disable the trackpad (FN+F8) works, but after a reboot the trackpad is active
again.
However the status which is diaplayed in the notification area seems to save
the state ("disabled" in this case). Disabling the trackpad again after reboot
1)disables the trackpad and 2)shows "trackpad enabled" in the notification area.
