Hi Jérôme, I don't use a prism2/2.5/3-chipset based wireless card any more, so this problem is now irrelevant for me. I see in the code that it's currently possible to define the PRISM2_NON_VOLATILE_DOWNLOAD option I was talking in the kernel configuration, rather than by editing the file. A quick grep in the kernel config seems to show that it's not turned on by default in the Ubuntu kernel. It would probably be better to turn it on, but it's no longer relevant for me.
