Like others, I get this crash when I try to install the fglrx driver with post-release updates (whatever that means). I can install the fglrx driver without these post-release updates, though. With that fglrx driver installed, I get this:
~# fglrxinfo display: :0.0 screen: 0 OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon HD 6550D OpenGL version string: 4.1.11251 Compatibility Profile Context and I can run Unity 3d and Gnome 3, which (as I understand it) require a 3d video driver. I can also run the Catalyst control program. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/804662 Title: jockey-gtk crashed with TypeError in _execute_child(): execv() arg 2 must contain only strings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jockey/+bug/804662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
