Public bug reported: I just installed ITC Garamond (Type 1), into my system. All the applications recognize the font properly, except for OpenOffice.org.
OpenOffice.org displays just "Garamond". If I select the font, no font preview is shown. If I start typing using the font, I get another substitution font, probably Vera Sans. When I explicitly enter "ITC Garamond" into the font dialog myself, OpenOffice.org does find the font. This is highly ennoying, and somehow occurs with all my "ITC ..." fonts. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/texlive/build$ fc-list | grep "ITC Garamond" ITC Garamond:style=Book Italic ITC Garamond:style=Bold Italic ITC Garamond:style=Bold ITC Garamond:style=Book [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/texlive/build$ I've inspected the font metadata, it seems nowhere it's called "Garamond"... "ITC Garamond" is always used. ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Doesn't recognize ITC Garamond https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/118370 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
