Public bug reported:

I have a Logitech Freepulse stereo Bluetooth headset that worked
perfectly under Ubuntu 10.04. I recently upgraded to 11.10, and now
sound will usually not work.

The headset appears to pair correctly. Now when I turn on the headset,
its pairing light turns blue indicating a connection, but the
"Freepulse" menu item under the Bluetooth menu shows it as "Off".
Manually turning the menu item "On" seems to have no effect.

If I open Sound Settings and click the hardware tab, the "Internal
Audio" is selected and a "Freepulse Wireless" option is available, which
I select. When I select this, I usually hear a slight "pop" sound in the
headset.

If I click the "Output" tab, again the "Internal Audio Analog Stereo" is
selected, and a "Freepulse Wireless Stereo" option is available, which I
select. After I select this, I sometimes hear sound (when playing music
via VLC, Pandora, system sounds, etc), but sometimes I won't hear
anything.

I've confirmed everything's unmuted and the volume is at 100%. I've
tested the headset with a Droid phone and an older Ubuntu 10.04
installation, and it still works just fine, so I'm confident the headset
is working correctly.
