I downloaded the file you pointed to me to and I patched things as follows:
:~/control-center-2.18.1$ mv control-center_2.18.1-0ubuntu2.2.debdiff /home/hornby/Desktop/ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/control-center-2.18.1$ patch -p1 < ~/Desktop/control-center_2.18.1-0ubuntu2.2.debdiff patching file debian/changelog patching file debian/patches/92_set_mixer_device.patch Then I executed: debuild -b -us -uc Actually, I did "sudo debuild -b -us -uc" and lots of stuff happened... I logged out and logged back in and nothing seems to have changed. I rebooted and logged back in and again, nothing seems to have changed.
